In the past Anathema was always known for beautiful covers, and very heavy and angry music inside. As the band evolved over the years, they can match the beauty of their covers with some outstanding heartfelt sounds. "Weather Systems" looms with beauty and great feel.

The album is full of colorful sounds, and dreamy landscapes. The combination of male and female vocals add a lot of personality to the songs. And what's most important, add variety of moods. There is something very spiritual what Anathema is doing nowadays. And what a great band they have become.

There is a lot of sorrow in these songs, the sounds tend to illustrate the lyrics and vice versa. The use of strings and orchestra in some songs shows that sky is the limit as far as creativity goes here. At this point in their career, Anathema is a very much a free band, where no rules apply. They can go in any direction they wish and expand their style.
