David Bowie -Station To Station (EMI)

What a great reissue package this is. The label really went out of their way to make this as special as possible. You get "Station To Station " album completely re-mastered, and sounding great, although not that different from the previous versions that had undergone the same process. The album is still very advanced sounding, and timeless, even by today's standards. Good music never gets old. The real treat comes as a double disc live recording from Nassau Coliseum in 1976. A much sought after recording finally makes it out here officially, and it's the entire concert, nothing is chopped off. The shows gives the entire experience of the time in which the album was released, and the tour that followed.

In addition, there is a very informative booklet chronicling David Bowie from 1975 to 1976. A very close look at the artist's every move. For Bowie fanatics, this information will certainly be crucial and will make up for some interesting trivia. Casual fans will get a chance to look into the inside of the album, and the aura that surrounded it. Also, you get three cards with David Bowie photos from the time frame of the album.

The accuracy of the research is quite impressive here. The label truly delivered a package Bowie fans can appreciate. When listening to the music, and reading the attached contents, one can truly alienate the rest of the world for few hours, and why not?
