Elvis Presley – On Stage (RCA/Legacy)

This is the deluxe edition of the On Stage album. It was upgraded to two discs, the other disc being Elvis In Person record. Both albums are nicely cleaned and enriched with bonus tracks that never made the vinyl cut. As the title suggests, this is live Elvis, and these concerts date back to 1969, and 1970. This is a great example how Elvis can just take any song and rock with it. Proves that simplicity is the key. The material on both albums varies from Elvis’s own to other famous rockers from the time frame of the original release. The performance here just flows. It is very charged and punchy. This is pure rock’n’roll, and Elvis is still the king.
