The Evolution of Chaos is a fantastic speed metal record. It showcases everything Bay Area metal is all about. The album sports a very crunchy sound. It is a state of the art heavy metal release.

Despite the time of inactivity this is a vital record. Heathen sounds very refreshed and full of energy. The songs are full of melody, and the riffing is just superb. Not to mention the countless leads the album is filled with.

There are many memorable songs here. The key track here is definitely No Stone Unturned. It is an epic track with multiple tempo and mood changes amounting over 11 minutes. There is definitely charm and beauty delivered in this song.

Heathen has made a perfect record. The band fully explored and realized their potential. Evolution of Chaos is a monumental release.
