Mad Max - Mad Max/Rollin’ Thunder (Metal Mind Productions)

Two legendary releases from Germany’s Mad Max are finally seeing the light of day. Of the two, Rollin’ Thunder received a vinyl release in the States back in the 80s. The self-titled debut remained virtually unknown until now. Both albums were collectors items, and very expensive to own. This is a welcomed addition to any collection. The two albums show the beginning of Mad Max. The self-titled debut shows the band trying to find its own voice, whereas Rollin’ Thunder presents the band with certain level of maturity. The difference is huge. A lot of it has to do with the change of the singer from the first album to the second. Mad Max is a band full of spirit, definitely destined for bigger and better things to come. And they certainly reached another level, as the future releases document.
