MSG’s first three records received identical treatment as the above mentioned UFO releases. Keeping in mind, MSG, is a satellite band to UFO, it makes complete sense. Over the years there were many versions of those albums floating around. But, this batch could be considered as the definitive editions. The Michael Schenker Group, MSG, and One Night at Budokan come in expanded editions. Each includes bonus tracks in form of demos and live recordings. In case of One Night at Budokan it’s the more complete concert tracks that were omitted due the limitations of a vinyl record. The sound on those records is superb, and re-mastering job is well done. The material is strong, and does not show any signs of aging. When something is good, it just stays that way forever. Schenker’s guitar playing is still revolutionary even by today’s standards. A must buy for any fans of imaginative guitar playing or just great hard rock music.
