Visage’s Beat Boy is back in print. This long-lost third album from Steve Strange and the company was a collector’s item for many years. Cherry Red Records did a very nice job with this release. There are four bonus tracks added to the original 1984 release. The booklet is very extensive. It includes liner notes, lyrics, pictures, and detailed Visage discography. Musically, this third release is not as strong as the previous two. The album definitely suffers from the loss of Midge Ure and Billy Currie, but has its own considerable charm. It’s a new wave artifact worth investigating.
